While permitted animal feeding operations are required to maintain manure nutrient management records, all operations with confined livestock can benefit from keeping basic records related to manure management. Records of manure test results, land application, transfers and other details can help assure that nutrients are being used efficiently while protecting ground and surface water.

The Nebraska Extension Animal Manure Management Team recently released the 2017 Nutrient

The Nutrient Management Record Keeping Calendaer is a publication developed by Nebraska Extension through industry sponsorships to make recordkeeping easy and inexpensive for all in the livestock industry

Management Record-keeping Calendar, which provides spaces each month to record all of the documentation required under Title 130 of the Nebraska Administrative Code along with offering reminders and information boxes on each page relevant to manure management.
